Count your blessings, not your troubles.
Live one day at a time.
Let the wrong things go.
Give more than you take.
Look for the good in people and situations.
Make time for those who matter.
Laugh when you can.  Cry when you need to.
Focus on your priorities.  Make decisions, not excuses.
And always stay true to your values.

Love what you do, until you can do what you love.
Love where you are, until you can be where you love.
Love the people you are with, until you can be with the people you love most.
This is the way we find happiness.

Poema Receta Para Crear Un Pintor de Marié Rojas Tamayo

Para sentirnos pintores
No hace falta llamarnos Da Vinci o Picasso,

You will find me doing caricatures this summer
at any given public or private event. I'm having
so much fun and so are my sitters.  Can you tell?

The best way to predict the future is to create it!

I can be good at spending valuable time worrying about things that haven't happened.  In the end everything works itself out.  If worrying helped any, then it would be okay to do so.  But it doesn't help,  it  usually does the opposite, worsens things.   When things are not going too good in life, I think of the positive things in my life.     I have found that having a positive attitude makes everything better.

Volunteer Caricatures

Caricatures speak the universal language of laughter, a languaje which is not limited by geographical boundaries or financial status. It is only limited to accessibility and exposure. I always wanted to share my drawing skills to make children smile. Every Wednesday I head out with my easel, paper, and colors to the Children's Mercy Hospital in my hometown, to draw sketches of the young patients, who enjoy getting their caricature drawn, happily getting involved in choosing a cartoon body according to their favorite hobby, sport, or hero.
