This morning was not your ordinary Wednesday!

For a moment there I thought we were in trouble, but everyone at the hospital where I volunteer was so helpful and professional. I was drawing a young girl and we were having a conversation about a Robert Downey Jr movie when the alarms went off . We were moved to the hallway, where we were given blankets and masks and offered something to drink. I got water because my mouth was dry (probably from talking so much, and, I was scared)

HOLA AMIGOS AQUI ESTOY DIBUJANDO Y FELIZ CONTEMPLANDO LAS SONRISAS DE LOS NIÑOS

Como ud. puede apoyar para beneficio de los pequeños de nuestra comunidad. 
Deborah Moreno, empresaria artistica de Caricature Entertainment comenzo a visitar a los niños enfermos de Children’s Mercy en 2005. Ahi platica con ellos y les hace dibujos y caricaturas todos los miercoles.  Se cuentan chistes y anecdotas, haciendo que el tiempo pase rapida y alegremente.
Caricaturas Sin Fronteras es una Fundación que surge en el año 2010 en Kansas City, con el propósito de ayudar emocionalmente a niños  que estan  enfermos en esta comunidad. 
Esta organizacion está enfocada en mejorar la situación emocional de los pequeños de Kansas City y, si es posible, de otras partes del mundo latino. 
 La meta de esta organizacion es recaudar fondos para crear un espacio donde se puedan reunir  jovenes y niños a desarrollar su talento artistico y asi emplear el arte creativo como una terapia para tener acceso a una vida digna y libre de desanimo  logrando alcanzar la autoestima emocional y, tambien en algunos casos, mejora económica.

Volunteer Caricatures

Caricatures speak the universal language of laughter, a languaje which is not limited by geographical boundaries or financial status. It is only limited to accessibility and exposure. I always wanted to share my drawing skills to make children smile. Every Wednesday I head out with my easel, paper, and colors to the Children's Mercy Hospital in my hometown, to draw sketches of the young patients, who enjoy getting their caricature drawn, happily getting involved in choosing a cartoon body according to their favorite hobby,sport, or hero.
