To me, my artwork is my fingerprint, it is who I am. I started drawing before I was six, and painting portraits at twelve years old. I want to move the viewer through my art: to laughter, to tears; to look inside themselves. My murals are about social and cultural subjects that show my love for people and beauty. My paintings are mostly portraits where I aim to capture not only the likeness but the the personality, the being. United States

Cloudy here the last few days, still keeping spirits up by sketching in really bright colors, thus my spirit is feeling good!
Also had to work on Fourth of July, but after a long day, which I love because I'm meeting people and feeling inspired with their smiles and Celebratory vibes 🤹🏻♂️🤹🏽♂️. Me sketching and listening to music and laughter surrounded by delicious smells: the barbecues and delicious foods, made me really hungry! Ha ha Ha
Every year I surprise myself because I am doing a job with that I never get tired off it's really impressive to me that I don't mind to work on festive days.

Inspiration
I guess everyone lacks inspiration from time to time. When I'm not in the mood to paint I get a little worried, because I know I've been distracted by things that don't really matter, negativity. I'm usually a
positive being, but we all have a dark side...from time to time.
When I'm feeling down poetry lifts up my spirit. Children do that as well.
I was reading a blog I follow: Cocinamos Entre Todos, in this blog art and poetry are found side by side,
and I found this poem, which I will share:
The main reason why I love it is because it says the soul can speak through the eyes, so true!

THE EYES
Scientists discover that eyes really are 'the window to the soul'
Left: Distinct contraction furrows (marked '3') - a sign of the person being neurotic. Right: Numerous 'crypts' lines going away from the iris (marked '1') - this signifies a warm-hearted and trustworthy person
Patterns in the iris can give an indication of whether we are warm and trusting or neurotic and impulsive, research has found.

Everyone has a different structure of lines, dots and colours in their iris.
So scientists at Orebro University in Sweden compared the eyes of 428 subjects with their personality traits to see if these structures in the iris reflected their characters.
They focused on patterns in crypts - threads which radiate from the pupil - and contraction furrows - lines curving around the outer edge - which are formed when the pupils dilate.
Their findings showed those with denselypacked crypts are more warmhearted, tender, trusting, and likely to sympathise with others. In comparison, those with more contraction furrows were more neurotic, impulsive and likely to give way to cravings.
The researchers argued that eye structure and personality could be linked because the genes responsible for the development of the
iris also play a role in shaping part of the frontal lobe of the brain, which influences personality.
They say the findings could one day be used in psychoanalysis and by companies screening candidates for jobs.
The results will be published in the American journal Biological Psychology. 'Our results suggest people with different iris features tend to develop along different personality lines,' said Matt Larsson, a behavioural scientist who led the study at Orebro University.'These findings support the notion that people with different iris configurations tend to develop along different trajectories in regards to personality.
'Differences in the iris can be used as a biomarker that reflects differences between people.'
The scientists suggested these differences are due to genetic variation, and pointed to the involvementof a gene called PAX6. This gene helps control the formation of the iris in embryos. Previous research has shown that a mutation of it is linked to impulsiveness and poor social skills.
The speed and accuracy with which irises can be mapped means there is growing interest in using photographs of eyes for security as well as research purposes.
The Government is testing the use of digital photographs of the iris on 'biometric' passports and identity cards.
Trials of the iris technology have been taking place at Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester airports.

APRENDE A DIBUJAR

I finally was able to post some new caricatures I've been working on for my new catalog. I wanted to draw something a little different but in the same style. What do you think? Who is she?

Adios querido amigo.

Count your blessings, not your troubles.
Live one day at a time.
Let the wrong things go.
Give more than you take.
Look for the good in people and situations.
Make time for those who matter.
Laugh when you can. Cry when you need to.
Focus on your priorities. Make decisions, not excuses.
And always stay true to your values.

Poema Receta Para Crear Un Pintor de Marié Rojas Tamayo
Para sentirnos pintores
No hace falta llamarnos Da Vinci o Picasso,

The best way to predict the future is to create it!
I can be good at spending valuable time worrying about things that haven't happened. In the end everything works itself out. If worrying helped any, then it would be okay to do so. But it doesn't help, it usually does the opposite, worsens things. When things are not going too good in life, I think of the positive things in my life. I have found that having a positive attitude makes everything better.

Volunteer Caricatures
Caricatures speak the universal language of laughter, a languaje which is not limited by geographical boundaries or financial status. It is only limited to accessibility and exposure. I always wanted to share my drawing skills to make children smile. Every Wednesday I head out with my easel, paper, and colors to the Children's Mercy Hospital in my hometown, to draw sketches of the young patients, who enjoy getting their caricature drawn, happily getting involved in choosing a cartoon body according to their favorite hobby, sport, or hero.
